("Quid coniuratio est?")
I always said Thompson could be the Conspiracy pin-up girl, and now (who knows) I may wind up proved prescient. Thompson, alas, is not featured for her beauty in the November 1995 Penthouse but rather for her leading-edge political theorizing. (Some would even say it is more than theorizing, that it is based on fact.) She is featured in an interview -- not (yet) as the "Pet of the Month".
All kidding aside, Thompson does come up with some good theories (some say facts) -- which helps explain why, through thick and thin, she still has so many devoted followers. If Thompson would just take some time to slowly and methodically explain just how she reaches some of her conclusions, then she could have even more fans. As it is, she leaves some of us scratching our heads and wondering, "Well.... Maybe."
Here are some of Thompson's current theories (some say facts), as reported in the November 1995 Penthouse, which leave this editor-in-chief scratching his head and wondering, "Well.... Maybe."
** FBI and Mossad are allied, and ADL (Anti Defamation League) is used by them to do their dirty work, e.g. to spy on political types;
** Worries over the Whitewater scandal may be the reason for Clinton's hair having gone gray, i.e. Whitewater and massive graying of Clinton may be more than coincidence;
** A "subculture of intelligence agencies," and not those who are supposedly the leaders, are who actually run various countries;
** The current arms race involves a struggle for superiority in poisonous gases. Mention is made of a cyanide plant in Boca Raton (Mouth of the Rat), Florida. This caused me to pause, for one of my sources has also mentioned a possible scandal surrounding this same cyanide plant. Score one for Thompson; she doesn't have so many fans for nothing;
** Intelligence organizations use religious cults as a way to hide their nefarious operations;
** Clinton is a commie based partly on his trip to Moscow during the Vietnam War. Yet here she is in contradiction with Sherman Skolnick. Recall Skolnick writing, in CN 5.09:
Clinton also went to Moscow, again the travelling student with an espionage agenda. He accomplished what his bosses at CIA considered a brilliant move: Clinton stole a secret transcript of a tongue-lashing one Soviet dictator gave to others in their ruling elite. Conveyed by Clinton to CIA, this endeared Bill to the Rockefellers. After all, CIA's worldwide job has been to guard Rockefeller's foreign oil properties.
** Clinton, after the murder of so many of his bodyguards, is now basically being held hostage; i.e. his "Pretorian Guard" has been replaced and Clinton no longer owns what are perceived to be "his" bodyguards.
Penthouse, which has been bold in what it will print (see, for example, "The Crimes of Mena" by Denton and Morris in a recent issue), nonetheless is massively unfair to Thompson when it trots out the old tired smear equating criticism of Israel with anti-semitism. I see no reason to believe Thompson is anti-semitic and Penthouse takes a cheap shot when it calls her a "militant mama" with "stunning anti- semitism".
There is also a lot of editorial interjection durinFrom bigxc Fri Sep 29 16:46:56 1995

I see no reason to believe Thompson is anti-semitic and Penthouse takes a cheap shot when it calls her a "militant mama" with "stunning anti- semitism".
There is also a lot of editorial interjection during the interview; the editor keeps butting in, doing his own "summaries" of what Thompson has supposedly said, rather than just letting her have her say. Also, the editor, like a fussy professor, keeps interrupting to correct Thompson's "errors". However note that, at least once, the editor himself is in error when he "corrects" Thompson about the KKK, saying it was formed in 1867 -- yes, it was, but there have been several KKKs since that time; the KKK has not existed continuously since 1867.
Another problem is that there are naked women everywhere while you are trying to read the interview. One page has a narrow column of interview, with enticing females on either side, luring your eyes away and seeming to say, "Forget about conspiracy theories. Why bother with those ideas when there are chicks everywhere!" (But remember that Cervantes wrote Don Quixote in a whore house.)
Basically, Penthouse seems to have arranged things (for some reason) so that most of their audience will not bother considering what Thompson has to say: they will either be distracted by beauties, or they will pre-judge (unfairly) Thompson as an anti-semite. So, the only ones who will bother to buy and seriously read and consider what the "militant mama" has to say will be those who already are familiar with most of this stuff anyway. Penthouse plays it safe: it lures in the conspiratologists whilst all the time knowing that it is only they who will actually bother to read this disturbing, thought-provoking interview.
I encourage distribution of "Conspiracy Nation."
